The Office of Graduate Student Life is dedicated to supporting the success and well-being of George Mason graduate students.

Graduate Student Life is dedicated to supporting the success and well-being of George Mason graduate students by:

  • Providing programs and initiatives that promote community building and engagement, professional development, personal development, and inclusion for all
  • Connecting graduate students to campus resources
  • Identifying and advocating for graduate student needs

Graduate Student Life is a unit within the Division of University Life.

As the sponsoring department for the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA), Graduate Student Life provides ongoing advising and support to the executive officers and program representatives of the organization.

    Muna Al Taweel joined the Graduate Student Life team as the Graduate Professional Assistant for Graduate Student Leadership and Advising. She serves as an advisor to the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA).

    Austin A. Deray (he/him) is the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Life. His primary focus is community & inclusion initiatives, graduate writing & academic support, and well-being initiatives for George Mason’s graduate and professional student populations.

    Morolake (Rolake) Okanlawon is a PhD student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in the School of Systems Biology. She currently serves as the Graduate Professional Assistant for Graduate Student Engagement with Graduate Student Life.
